In addition to shifting communication toward a more inclusive, accessible, and empathy- based paradigm, this training aims to develop participants' skills for accurate and effective communication with hearing-impaired individuals. Within the scope of the training, fundamental information will be addressed, ranging from properly understanding deaf and hearing-impaired individuals to the history of sign language, and from the use of the alphabet to the importance of facial expressions and gestures in communication.
Sign Language Instructor: Nurten Palaz
Date: 24 march Tuesday
Time: 20.00
In addition to developing the skills to express themselves in sign language, participants will experience some daily communication elements, such as family and time concepts, sign structures used instead of suffixes, and directional expressions.
Additionally, the training emphasizes essential everyday expressions and practical language uses that may be needed for diverse communication contexts, aiming to provide a functional competence applicable both academic and social life. We learn together for a world where communication is accessible to everyone.
