The Career and Industry Days 2023 event was organized to address the expectations of leading companies in various sectors from the engineers they employ and will employ, to provide companies the opportunity to introduce themselves and communicate their desired engineer profile directly to engineering candidates, and to contribute to the training of qualified generations in our country.

Organized in collaboration with our center and 10 student clubs under the University’s Department of Health, Culture, and Sports, this year’s fourth edition of the event was two days long.

The event, held at the Gazi Concert Hall, was attended by our Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Ramazan Bayındır and Prof. Dr. Yücel Gelişli, Dean of the Gazi Faculty of Education Prof. Dr. Mahmut Selvi, Coordinator of Social Affairs and Community Contributions Prof. Dr. Selami Candan, and Deputy Director of our Center Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serkan Düzgün.

In the opening speech, Yunus Dumlu, the event coordinator and a student from the Faculty of Technology, explained that the event aimed to create an environment for information flow about the sector, raise awareness for career planning, and build a bridge between students and leading companies in the sector.

Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ramazan Bayındır emphasized the importance of students being closely involved with the industry to develop themselves. He stated that by organizing the Career and Industry Days, they aimed to bring students and industry representatives together. Prof. Dr. Bayındır highlighted that such events contribute to strengthening university-industry collaboration and serve as a guide for future engineers.

Following the speeches, Yunus Dumlu presented a plaque to Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ramazan Bayındır.

After the plaque presentation, the event continued with presentations from industry representatives.

On the second day of the event, TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal met with our students, who showed great interest in the program.

Prof. Dr. Yusuf Günaydın, faculty members, and students.

Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, President of TÜBİTAK, expressed his intention to conduct a discussion-oriented program due to the industry-focused nature of the event. He emphasized his efforts to involve people of all ages in academic work from an early age during his term as TÜBİTAK President.

Prof. Dr. Mandal also provided information about TÜBİTAK and research projects that students can benefit from. He encouraged students to participate in these projects and expressed satisfaction with their recent efforts in both TEKNOFEST events and research project participation. Prof. Dr. Mandal highlighted his optimism for the future in this context.

Prof. Dr. Mandal answered students' questions during the program, giving them the opportunity to inquire about TÜBİTAK projects. After Prof. Dr. Mandal’s presentation, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ramazan Bayındır presented a plaque to Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal. The event continued with presentations from industry representatives.
