Gazi University Management Proudly Celebrates a New Milestone. Gazi University Management is proudly celebrating a new milestone. The "Gazi University Alumni Meet-Up - Alumni Gathering and Alumni Card Introduction" event, organized for the first time by the Gazi University Career Planning Application and Research Center (KAPUM), was held with high participation.

The event, held in the Rectorate Mimar Kemaleddin Hall, was attended by our Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Fazlı Polat, Prof. Dr. Yücel Gelişli, and Prof. Dr. Ramazan Bayındır, General Secretary Lecturer Ragıp Akyürek, Deputy General Secretary Raşit Yıldırım, Türk Eğitim-Sen General President Talip Geylan, Ankara Chamber of Pharmacists President Pharmacist Taner Ercanlı, deans, academicians, department heads, and our university alumni.

The event began with a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem, followed by a music performance by Prof. Dr. Ömer Türkmenoğlu and his team from the Gazi Faculty of Education, Music Education Department. After the performance, KAPUM Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yusuf Günaydın presented flowers and a certificate to Prof. Dr. Ömer Türkmenoğlu.

In his opening speech, KAPUM Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yusuf Günaydın highlighted that Gazi University has a rich history but noted that alumni gatherings have been neglected after graduation. He emphasized that the first event has a special significance and will serve as a foundation for future events. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yusuf Günaydın stated, "In the places you have walked and spent time, our students, architects of our future are now exploring. Through events like these, we are excited to be alongside them and share our experiences. Let us not forget that experience is as valuable as knowledge, and what makes experience important is the time that nourishes it. By passing on our experiences, nourished over time, to the young people who come from all over Anatolia and make these places meaningful, we will help them overcome time.''

Türk Eğitim-Sen General President Talip Geylan expressed his pride at being present at the event. He stated, "It is a great honor for me to be here among you today. This alumni gathering is a first. Gazi University is an institution with a deep-rooted tradition and history. We have many valuable individuals trained at Gazi in every field, from art and sports to economics and bureaucracy. Yet, after graduation, we still feel a lack of belonging. I believe this meeting will help instill the sense of belonging and awareness among alumni.''

In his opening speech, our Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız said, 'Years ago, each of us came from different parts of our country with great hopes and felt that we were part of a strong family in the warm and sincere environment of Gazi University. Alongside these feelings, we have strived to gain universal knowledge in the light of science, working with leading academics in their fields. As Gazi University, we focus on the benefit of our country and humanity, and for this purpose, we support the personal development of each of our members as an institution. I hope that this first alumni gathering, organized with the motto "Strength comes from unity" and where we share the privilege of being a Gazi graduate, will continue more many years.

Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız emphasized that one of the most crucial needs in the business and professional world is a qualified workforce with professional competencies and an institutional and social network that supports lifelong development. He said, "In an era where the world is rapidly changing and technology is increasingly taking a larger role in our lives, it is essential for employees to focus on continuous development. Therefore, as Gazi University, we are striving to make our relationships with our members more effective in line with our mission." Prof. Dr. Yıldız added, "To truly fill the meaning of 'Being a Gazi graduate is a privilege, we are always with you.''

Following the speeches, KAPUM Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yusuf Günaydın presented the alumni card to Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız. Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız presented a graduation card and a tree planting certificate to Talip Geylan, the General President of Türk Eğitim-Sen, and to Muhammed Hasan Dağ, a graduate of Health Services, an athlete in the Turkish Armed Forces Shooting Sports, and a member of the Taekwondo National Team. Graduates of Gazi University who have served in various public institutions were also presented with graduation cards and tree planting certificates by the university administrators. The event concluded with a commemorative photo taken in front of the Rectorate building following the presentation of the cards and certificates.
