The "Meeting with Academic Advisors" program was held online by Gazi University's Career Planning Application and Research Center on September 23 at 15.30 pm.

A total of 204 academic staff members, who serve as academic advisors across our university, participated in the program. In the opening speech, our Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. Yücel Gelişli, emphasized that the role of academic advising significantly impacts not only students' academic development but also their career growth. He highlighted the importance of strong and effective communication between Gazi University students and graduates and the academic staff for achieving career success both nationally and internationally.

Following the opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yusuf Günaydın, Director of the Career Planning Application and Research Center, addressed the audience. He noted that one of the center's key responsibilities, established in 2012 to support students in their career development processes, is to collaborate with academic advisors. He stressed the need for academic advisors’ support in familiarizing students with the career center, encouraging them to apply, and utilizing the services offered. He also expressed his gratitude to the academic advisors for their continued support.

In his talk, Assistant Director Dr. Serkan Düzgün provided information on the "Career Portal and 360-Degree Communication," emphasizing the importance of the software infrastructure used by the Presidential Human Resources Office’s Career Gate and Talent Gate, as well as the role of social media and other communication channels in the center's operations.

Finally, Assistant Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hasan Eşici delivered a detailed presentation on the "Role of Academic Advisors in Career Development." At the end of the speeches, questions and opinions from the academic advisors were collected. The program concluded with expressions of hope for increased collaboration between the career center and academic advisors to better prepare students for their future, reinforcing the university's commitment to being student-focused in its career services.
