Student Communities Training and Information Meeting Attracted Great Interest

The "Student Communities Training and Information Meeting," organized by the Directorate of

Cultural Services under the Health, Culture, and Sports Department of the Rectorate of Gazi University, was successfully held. The event saw high attendance, featuring community presidents, academic advisors, and students from various faculties across the university.

The meeting was attended by our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Tezer, Advisor to the Rector Prof. Dr. Selami Candan, Deputy Coordinator for Social Affairs and Social Contribution Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nazlı Güngör, Head of the Health, Culture, and Sports Department C. Metin Uygur, Vice Director of the Career Planning Application and Research Center Lecturer Dr. Yusuf Ziya Aktaş, and Director of Cultural Services Ergün Önder.

The program began with a moment of silence followed by the singing of the Turkish National Anthem. Our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Tezer delivered the opening speech. In his speech, Prof. Dr. Hasan Tezer drew attention to the role of student communities in university life, emphasizing that social, cultural, and scientific activities contribute significantly to students' personal and professional development. He also expressed that the university administration will continue to support community initiatives.

Taking the floor next, Director of Cultural Services Ergün Önder delivered an informative presentation covering operational procedures of student communities, event planning, activity permit processes, and targets for the new period. Önder noted that student communities play a vital role in promoting the university and enriching campus social life.

In the remainder of the program, informative presentations were delivered by Deputy Coordinator for Social Affairs and Social Contribution Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nazlı Güngör and Vice Director of the Career Planning Application and Research Center Lecturer Dr. Yusuf Ziya Aktaş. The presentations covered social contribution projects, career-oriented activities, and implementation practices for the 2025 period.

The program concluded with a Q&A session, providing students with the opportunity to ask their questions. During this session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. M. Nazlı Güngör, Head of the Health, Culture, and Sports Department C. Metin Uygur, Lecturer Dr. Yusuf Ziya Aktaş, and Director of Cultural Services Ergün Önder addressed the inquiries and provided further details to the students.

The event ended with a cocktail reception. High participation and insightful content made the meeting highly appreciated by all attendees.
