Gazi University held a seminar titled "Your IBAN Belongs to You, Don't Risk It" (IBAN Senin Riske Atma) in order to build strong awareness among its students regarding financial risks that particularly target young people in recent years, alongside the opportunities presented by the digital world.

The opening speeches of the program were delivered by our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Tezer and Director of the Career Planning Application and Research Center Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yusuf Günaydın. During the opening, emphasis was placed on the importance of raising awareness among youth against digital and financial risks, stating that such awareness initiatives constitute a vital part of universities' social contribution mission. Students were addressed with the message: "Staying vigilant against the traps of the digital world while building your future is the most critical security measure of your career journey."

In the main session of the event, Public Prosecutor Mahmut Kaan Yüksel provided detailed insights into the legal processes regarding the increasingly prevalent "IBAN renting" method, potential risks involved, and the severe consequences of unintentionally becoming involved in such crimes. Participants had the opportunity to evaluate the topic from multiple perspectives through real-life examples. The presentations concluded with a Q&A session. At the end of the program, a certificate of appreciation and a gift were presented to Public Prosecutor Mahmut Kaan Yüksel by KAPUM Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yusuf Günaydın and Vice Director Lecturer Dr. Yusuf Ziya Aktaş for his valuable contributions.

The event, which was followed with great interest by the attendees, ended after the presentations of gratitude. Gazi University will continue to organize such strategic activities that support its students in taking part in social life not only as academically strong individuals, but also as digitally literate citizens aware of their legal responsibilities.
