The “Alumni Reunion and Career Day” event, organised by the Department of Preschool Education within the Department of Early Childhood Education at Gazi University’s Faculty of Education, was held on May 4, 2026, in the Conference Hall of Block F at the Faculty.

At the event, which aimed to bring together graduates and undergraduate students in the field, experts working in various institutions and roles in early childhood education shared their experiences and provided participants with guidance to help them with their career planning.

Prof Dr Zeynep Fulya Temel moderated the event. The program consisted of Ayşe Turla (Educator/Author), Emel Seri (Founding Director of Atiye Schools), Elif Hayriye Doğan (Deputy Director of the ASHB Ankara Children’s Homes Coordination Centre), Dr Özlem Çerezci (Principal of the Nurettin Topçu Education and Application Centre at the National Education Academy), Alper Yorgancılar (Specialist Teacher), and Gamze Seçgin (Preschool Teacher at the Early Childhood Directorate, General Directorate of Preschool Education, Ministry of National Education) as speakers.

The speakers shared their professional experiences, current applications on work environments, and their advice about career development processes while answering students’ questions and creating an interactive environment. This event, which strengthened the graduate-undergraduate interaction in the early childhood education field, helped students improve their professional awareness.

At the end of the event, the certificates were presented to the speakers by the Director of Career Planning Application and Research Centre, Assoc. Prof Dr Yusuf Günaydın; Primary Education Department Chair, Prof Dr Rabia Sarıkaya; Preschool Education Department Chair, Prof Dr İlkay Ulutaş; Director of the Child Development Research and Application Centre, Prof Dr Zeynep Kurtulmuş; Deputy Chair of the Preschool Education Department, Assoc. Prof Vedat Bayraktar; Professor of Preschool Education, Z. Fulya Temel; and Professor of Preschool Education, Fatma Tezel Şahin.

After the session in the conference hall, speakers and participants gathered in the lobby area and continued their professional experience sharing even more closely with sincere conversations.

The theatre events with music and dance created an interactive and enjoyable learning space along with the souvenir photos taken with the participants as a part of the event.
