“Career Days 2026” event was held by Gazi University’s Department of Nutrition and Dietetics within the Faculty of Health Sciences with high participation from students. Dietitians and students gathered together in the Faculty of Health Sciences Conference Hall thanks to the event.
The event commenced with opening speeches. As part of the program, information was provided on career planning and alumni tracking initiatives, followed by “Career Journeys” sessions where experts working in various fields shared their professional experiences with the students. Presentations on topics such as academic careers, clinical dietetics, nutrition counselling, nutrition services management, and public health dietetics were followed with great interest by the students.
Participants, while having the opportunity to gain information on the different career fields of the job and listen to field experiences, got insight from experts with Q&A sessions.
Certificates were also presented to the department’s 10th year graduates as a part of the program. For the last part of the program, evaluations were made about the anticipation from future dietitians and their goals.
While stating that the event which aimed to contribute to the students’ career planning was productive, officials from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics noted that similar events will continue to be held in the future.
